BITS Pilani has launched BITS Design School which will teach design by combining inter-disciplinary subjects like technology, business and entrepreneurship. Students enrolling for the Undergraduate and Masters programs will be taught by international and Indian faculty trained in the world’s leading design schools at the Mumbai-based institute.
Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chancellor, BITS Pilani, said, “From manufacturing to services and retail to technology, design is shaping the future of how businesses approach problem-solving and innovation.”
Birla said, “BITS Design School will re-imagine design education with a bold, trans-disciplinary, competency-based approach and embrace the ways in which design can have a positive impact on people, businesses and the world.”
Students have the option to choose from the courses and streams offered for specialization – Physical Product Design, Digital Product Design (UI/UX), Human Centered Design, Experience Design and Visual Design.
The institutions under BITS Pilani now include the BITS School of Management, a global business school and BITSLaw offering integrated degrees in law.
