Ansu Kumari from West Champaran has emerged as Bihar topper in BSEB Matriculation Exam 2025, which scores 489 marks. Despite facing many challenges, including financial conflicts, the dedication of Ansu for his studies, as well as his resourceful approach to learning, earned them a place at the top.
Ansu Kumari, daughter of Bhupendra Sah and Savita Devi, meets Ghiri Panchayat in Nututon block in Bihar. The journey of Anshu at the top is a will for the power of hard work and the unwavering support of his family. His father, a plumber, which works in North, Uttarakhand, has always given priority to his daughters’ education, even among financial difficulties.
Hard work of fuel
Ansu’s success story is not just about books and classes; It is about using technology to bridge the gaps in learning. When he studied at the Indian Inter College Ghiri, it was his elder sister Pooja, who played an important role in Ansu’s educational journey. Pooja, a teacher, encouraged Anshu to use YouTube as an additional teaching tool when he faced difficulties in understanding some subjects.
“Whenever I faced a problem after school, I used YouTube to solve it and move forward.” This approach not only helped him to clean the doubt, but also gave him the confidence to continue progressing. “The tips I received to use YouTube from my sister made a big difference in my studies,” Shiku says.

Ansu’s dream: a cancer doctor to help others
Ansu’s dreams are big as his achievements. The young girl, who has faced the difficult realities of life, wishes to become a doctor. More especially, she wants to specialize in a field close to her heart, treatment of cancer. Ansu’s mother once came to know of cancer, and after undergoing treatment, she is now completely cured. This was the experience that inspired Anshu to pursue a career in oncology.
“My mother’s fight with cancer inspired me to become a doctor of cancer,” Ansu shares emotionally. “I want to help others like my mother and give them the hope and treatment they deserve.”
Family support: The Pillar of Anshu’s success
Ansu credits his success for the guidance and support of his elder sister Pooja. “My sister is a teacher, and he taught me many things, which helped me achieve this result,” Shiku says. “I will study biology in my intermediate years and then prepare my dream of becoming a doctor for NEET.”
Ansu’s father, Bhupendra Sah, is overwhelmed to his daughter. “I am very happy with his success. I am proud to reach this milestone,” he says. Ansu’s mother, Savita Devi, who has always dreamed of providing quality education for her children, now sees her dreams to come true.
A family that gives importance to education above all
Despite facing financial difficulties, Ansu’s family has always put education at the forefront. Savita Devi says, “Even with limited resources, we have always ensured that our children have the opportunity to study.” Ansu has three sisters and a brother, and his mother has always dreamed of giving him the best education. Today, with the achievement of Ansu, this dream is becoming a reality.
