Bigg Boss 19’s Abhishek Bajaj clarifies his stand on calling Kunika Sadanand grandmother. After her exit from the reality show, the TV star opened up about her frequent clashes with the actress over kitchen duties and claimed that the actress often plays the age card or the woman card. The actor further said that he was being respectful towards Sadanand and other contestants at all times.
Bajaj’s controversial eviction from the house followed Pranit More’s return to the show. She was given the power to save any one contestant among Abhishek, Ashnoor Kaur and Neelam Giri. The stand-up comedian decided to save Ashnoor and the other two were eliminated.
Abhishek Bajaj’s comment on age-shaming Kunika Sadanand
While sitting for a chat with Screen, the Bigg Boss star shared that he never intended, nor did he intend, to embarrass Sadanand. He revealed, “She shouldn’t have said the things she did about my mother. She would often cross boundaries and play the age card and the woman card. I come from a family where we were taught to respect our elders, and I was trying to be respectful. We were all competitive. I also interacted with her that way.”
The actor said he doesn’t think calling someone a grandmother is an insult. “A lot of the things she said about me and Ashnoor were unnecessary. I think Kunika is playing the dirtiest game; it’s very obvious. Farhana is blunt and outspoken. She will fight on your face, but won’t say anything behind your back.”
In the previous episode, Bajaj was seen singing Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Maan Jao during one of his fights with the actress. Host Salman Khan raised the topic on Weekend Ka Vaar and called out Abhishek for taking a dig at the elderly.
