Bhumi Pednekar attends Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi screening in silk saree
Bhumi Pednekar’s gold tissue silk saree and statement blouse for the Heeramandi screening event are from the shelves of Manish Malhotra’s label of the same name. The designer recently launched his Banaras collection, which he showcased at the ghats of Kashi and Bhoomi’s drape is part of the same line. The actor shared pictures of his look on Instagram and captioned it, “Magician @manishmalhotra05 @manishmalhotraworld wearing Pure Opulence to celebrate Hiramandhi.”
The Manish Malhotra tissue silk saree comes in a bronze-golden shade and features broad gold borders adorned with gota patti embroidery, sequin embellishments and threadwork. Bhumi wore six yards in the traditional draping style, with the pallu falling in length extending from her shoulders to the floor and having pleats on the front.
Bhumi has teamed the saree with a sleeveless blouse matching the border of the pallu. The statement bodice features a plunging halter neckline, backless design, cropped midriff-baring hem, fitted bust detail, beaded embellishments and intricate embroidery.
For accessories, Bhumi chose statement earrings and rings. Black peep-toe suede pumps with killer high heels rounded out the style. Finally, for the glam pics, Bhumi opted for dark eyebrows, bright brown eye shadow, winged eyeliner, mascara on the lids, rouge on the cheekbones, bright berry pink lips and highlighter on the figure. Centre-parted loose locks styled in soft waves complete the traditional look.
