Assam CEE Results 2025: How is the rank fixed – what happens in the case of a tie?
The rank for Assam CEE 2025 has been determined based on all three subjects – mathematics, physics, and chemistry safely in the total marks.
If there is a tie between two students, the following tie-breaking criteria are applied in order:
1. High digits in mathematics
2. If the tie persists, which candidate has got high marks in physics.
3. If still unresolved, which candidate has got high marks in physics.
4. If the candidates have the same marks in three subjects, then the old candidate (till date of birth) is given preference.
5. If a tie still remains, the alphabet sequence of the candidate’s name is used.
