Deepak Sawant expressed his gratitude to Amitabh Bachchan for his appreciation and humility.
Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has been working in the film industry for almost 55 years and out of these, he has spent the last 50 years with the same makeup man. On Saturday, Deepak Sawant shared a clip from the recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati on Instagram, where Amitabh praised his dedication towards work.
Amitabh praised his make-up man a lot
In the clip, shot during the intermission in the show, Deepak fixed Amitabh’s hair and makeup while the actor regaled the audience with stories about him and Deepak.
“This is Deepak Sawant. It would have been 50 years since he worked with us. And tell me one thing, in 50 years we have done almost 200 films. There was never a day like that when he was not with us. Ekdum duty bounti, will come on time, no matter how much. And there is some serious problem in saying one thing but I am telling you… 3 days ago, Deepak Sawant’s brother died and it is because of his integrity that he has to work today.
It translates as: “This is Deepak Sawant. He has been working with me for 50 years. And let me tell you, in these 50 years, I have done almost 200 films together. There was not a single day when he was not with me. Absolutely conscientious, always on time, no matter what.”
A bit serious thing to say, but I will say it anyway… Three days ago, Deepak Sawant’s brother passed away, and yet he came to work. He felt that if there is work today then it should be done. That’s what integrity and commitment are really about.”
What did Deepak Sawant say?
Sharing the video, Deepak Sawant wrote, “Mr Bachchan’s kind words and appreciation always keep me grounded. It’s a blessing to work with a man who is so humble, respectful and loving towards his team. At the age of 76, his kindness and encouragement still inspires my dedication towards him.”
Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 ended on Friday as Amitabh Bachchan bid a tearful goodbye to his fans on the show. He will likely return next season.
