Washington. A US lawmaker described Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a popular leader and expressed confidence that he would win again in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Rich McCormick, a Republican from Georgia, said, “Prime Minister Modi is incredibly popular. I was there (India) recently. I had lunch with Prime Minister Modi and many other MPs and really saw his popularity beyond party lines. I think he is going to become Prime Minister again.”
Responding to a question, he said that his positivity for the economy, development, welfare of all and the diaspora across the world is going to impact the global economy and strategic relations. He said that under the leadership of Modi, India’s economy is growing by four to eight percent every year.
India is learning from the world
The MP said, “If you look at their willingness to work with other countries, I would like to give a warning. In a way, they have copied some things done by China, which will benefit the country in the future. Despite this, India does not have aggression like China. At the same time, Indian-origin American MP Mr. Thanedar said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India has made ‘excellent progress’ in the last 10 years.
Where did India reach from?
He said, “When Prime Minister Modi was elected, India was the 10th economy in the world, then it became the fifth economy and very soon it will become the third largest economy in the world. Therefore, there is no doubt that India has made amazing progress. India remains a strong power in the world. No country including America can ignore India now.”
