National Testing Agency, NTA, is accepting applications for All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE 2026) for admission to Classes 6 and 9 in Sainik Schools/New Sainik Schools across the country. Eligible and interested students can submit their applications for the academic session 2026-27 on the official website exams.nta.nic.in.
As per the official notification, following are some important dates of AISSSEE 2026:
- Application window opening date: October 10, 2025
- Last date for submission of application: October 30, 2025, till 5 pm
- Last date for payment of examination fee: October 31, 2025, by 11:50 pm
- Application Correction Window: November 2 to 4, 2025
- Exam Date: January 2026
Exam Fee:
The examination fee for General/OBC(NCL)/Defence/Ex-Servicemen category students is Rs 850, while people belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) will have to pay 700.
Payment for the examination can be made online through payment gateway using debit/credit card or internet banking/UPI.
About Entrance Exam:
The examination for both the classes will be conducted in pen and paper (OMR sheet based) mode and will consist of multiple choice questions.
For admission to Class 9, the exam will be conducted for 180 minutes in English medium, and for admission to Class 6, the duration of the exam will be 150 minutes, and will be conducted in 13 languages.
The date for downloading admit card will be announced by NTA in due course of time. Apart from this, the result of the exam will be released after four to six weeks of the exam.
