A large number of tourists reach Agra. It is one of the busiest cities in the country in terms of tourism. For the last three years, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, admission to other monuments including Taj Mahal is free. However, there is a ticket for some places. Tourists will have to buy tickets to visit the main platform of Taj Mahal. There is no confusion about the ticket, for this, Superintendent Archaeologist Dr. Rajkumar Patel has issued an order.
Dr. Rajkumar Patel has issued this order for all central protected monuments, archaeological sites. It has been said in this order that tourists will have to buy a ticket of 200 rupees for entry on the main mausoleum in the Taj Mahal. Only entering the memorial in the Taj will be free.
Tourists in Agra will be able to enter the Taj Mahal, Fort of Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Mehtab Bagh, Etmaduddaula’s Tomb, Akbar’s Tomb and Mary’s Tomb for free. Earlier, tourists used to get free admission only during World Heritage Day and World Heritage Week, but for the last three years, free entry has also been available on International Women’s Day.
