India is known for its rich cuisine and myriad landscapes. Japanese Ambassador to India Hiroshi Suzuki often shares his insights about his domestic and international travel experiences.
His latest expedition took him to the Himalayan foothills in northern India and the pilgrimage city of Rishikesh in Uttarakhand. The ambassador posted a photo of herself dipping her feet in the icy waters of the Ganges River on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, January 3.
He captioned the photo, “I’m in Rishikesh!” This was followed by another glimpse, a video from Rishikesh, the hub of the yoga world, showing her stretching, warming up and practicing yoga postures. He captioned the video: “I’m learning yoga in Rishikesh!!!”
Earlier this week, Japanese Ambassador to India Hiroshi Suzuki along with his wife Eiko Suzuki visited Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, where they tasted a variety of authentic culinary delights.
He shared a video of himself enjoying heavenly kachori and jalebi and also described its aroma and taste. “I am enjoying kachori in Varanasi,” he said, and paused to taste the dish, and then said, “Very good!”
