Diamond mining company Namdeb was digging in Oranjemund, Namibia. During this time, the workers were busy in this work and suddenly they found pieces of wood with strange structure buried in the sand, which also had copper in between. Unaware of its value, the employees thought it was garbage and tossed it aside, then on going further inside they started finding ivory and shiny coins. When the light of the scorching sun fell on these coins, everyone was shocked. Only then did everyone realize that we were getting closer to the treasure.
The ship had left for India
When archaeologists came and investigated this treasure, they found out that it was the remains of a 16th century Portuguese ship and the treasure loaded in it, whose name was ‘Good Jesus’. This ship left Lisbon for India in 1533 but suddenly went missing somewhere on the way. A lot of research was done at that time and it was assumed that the ship might have sunk after getting caught in a dangerous storm.
