From application process to exam schedule, knowing the 2026 exam calendar in advance will help students prepare better for exams like JEE, NEET and CUET.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), various consortiums and IIMs have prepared the roadmap for 2026 for their major examinations – JEE, NEET UG, CUET, CLAT and CAT. The first major exam for engineering students, JEE Main, will begin in January, while May will be an important month for medical aspirants.
Hard work is essential for those appearing in this season of major entrance exams, but having the right information at the right time is equally important. From the start of the application process to the release of admit cards and exam dates, knowing the 2026 exam calendar in advance will help students prepare better and score higher marks in exams like JEE, NEET and CUET.

In 2026, lakhs of students will be preparing for their 12th board exams as well as exams like JEE and NEET. Additionally, a large number of students will also appear for the CUET UG exam.
1. JEE Main 2026
JEE Main exam is conducted twice a year. Students who clear both the stages get admission in top engineering colleges of the country. Session 1 (January) examination will be conducted from January 21 to 30, 2026. The results are expected by February 12. Session 2 (April) will be held from April 2 to 9, 2026. The result can be declared by April 20.
2. JEE Advanced 2026
The date of JEE Advanced 2026 examination to be conducted for admission to IIT has been announced. As per the official notice, the exam will be held on May 17. The application process for JEE Advanced 2026 will be open from April 23 to May 2. IIT Roorkee is responsible for conducting JEE Advanced 2026. Candidates planning to appear for the exam can check the notice on the official website jeeadv.ac.in.
3. NEET and 2026
NEET UG exam is usually conducted on the first Sunday of May for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in medical colleges across the country. The application process is likely to start in February-March 2026.
4. CUET UG & PG 2026
For admission in Central University, State University, Private University and Deemed University, it is necessary to pass the CUET exam of NTA.
CUET PG: The examination for post-graduation will start in mid-March 2026. The registration process has started in December 2025.
CUET UG: The exam for undergraduate courses will be conducted between May and June 2026. The application form is expected to be released in March 2026.
5. Bitsat
BITSAT is conducted for admission to undergraduate programs at Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS). The application window for the 2026 academic session opened on December 15. Applications for the first session are accepted till March 16, while the application window for the second session will open on April 20, 2026 and close on May 2, 2026.
6. MHT CET
Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) scores determine admission into engineering and medical colleges in the state. The state CET cell has released a tentative exam schedule for MAH MHT CET 2026 for PCM group from April 11 to 19 and for PCB group from April 21 to 26.
7. AP EAMCET
Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) is required for admission to engineering, agriculture and pharmacy programs across the state. The exams are scheduled for May 12, 13, 14, 15 and 18, 2026, but the registration dates have not been announced yet.
8. Adamate
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) will conduct the Telangana State Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (TG EAMCET) in 2026. The computer-based engineering entrance exam is scheduled for May 9, 10 and 11, while the exam for agriculture and pharmacy courses is scheduled for May 4 and 5.

The application process for VITEEE 2026 started on October 24, 2025. According to the official VIT website, the tentative last date to apply is March 31, 2026. The exam is scheduled from April 28 to May 3, 2026. The results will be declared in the second week of May 2026, followed by online counseling during the same period.

Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will soon release the notification for OJEE 2026 on its official website ojee.nic.in. The registration process is expected to start in the last week of January 2026 and end in March 2026. The exam is expected to be conducted in May.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore has started the registration process for AEEE 2026 examination for B.Tech candidates. The last date to apply for Phase 1 is January 15, 2026. Eligible candidates must complete the application form through the official portal, aeee.amrita.edu.
Meanwhile, the CLAT exam for the academic session 2026 was scheduled to be held on December 7, 2025 (Sunday) in offline mode. The results were released on 17 December. The CAT exam, conducted for admission to IIMs and other top B-schools, was held in November and the results were declared on December 24.
