Hiten and Priyanka’s love story: It is said that love does not depend on any limit, caste or status. Today in our Love Story Series, we are telling you one such true love story, which is no less than any Bollywood film. This is the story of Priyanka Pandey from Mumbai and Hiten Tank, who hails from Sikar district of Rajasthan, who met on the theater stage and they themselves did not know when their friendship turned into love.
Hiten Tank of Sikar had a dream since childhood to do something big in the world of acting. His passion for films and serials brought him from Jaipur to Mumbai in 1995. The initial days were very struggling. Despite small roles, limited opportunities and failures, he did not give up. He got his first break from a bald character in a TV serial, after which he started making his mark in Rajasthani theatre.
First meeting and beginning of friendship
In the year 2000, Rachna Pandey was a well-known name in the theater world of Mumbai. Due to her love for theatre, her sister Priyanka Pandey also used to come to watch plays. Priyanka went to see Hiten Tank’s show in a big theater and was extremely impressed by his acting skills. It was from here that both of them met for the first time.
Love grew with work
Priyanka openly praised Hiten’s acting. This conversation became the foundation of friendship. Gradually Priyanka also joined theater and while working together, this friendship turned into love. Both became each other’s biggest support in times of struggle.
Challenges faced in the path of marriage
When it came to marriage, things were not easy. Priyanka was from an educated family of Mumbai and belonged to the general category, while Hiten was from a small town like Sikar and belonged to the Scheduled Caste category. It was not easy to convince both the families. Initially the families did not agree, but the wisdom and patience of both made way.
love becomes marriage
The couple got engaged on 3 December 2005 and the wedding took place on 14 May 2006 in Mumbai with traditional Rajasthani customs. Hundreds of people from Sikar and actors from Mumbai’s theater and TV world witnessed this marriage.
Today this marriage has completed 20 years and both of them have two children. Hiten Tank has played important roles in Bollywood, TV and Rajasthani films, most recently in the lead role in the film “Mharo Shyam”. But their most beautiful story is not on screen, but in real life—where love overcame conflict and social barriers.
