Kamlesh, General Manager of Nainital’s prestigious hotel Sherwani Hilltop, says that 10 to 15 destination weddings take place in his hotel every year, and the number of these weddings has increased in the last few years. However, now the number of people in weddings has been limited, on an average only about 100 to 150 people attend a wedding. Their hotel serves good facilities and delicious food to the guests, which the guests like very much.

Tourism will get a boost
Kamlesh says that destination wedding also promotes tourism. People coming during weddings are mesmerized by the beauty of Nainital and plan to come here again and again. At the same time, on the pretext of marriage, people also visit nearby tourist places, which also boosts the economic condition of the city.

Sarovar Nagri Nainital is an ideal place for destination wedding, its beautiful valleys and cool climate are perfect for pre-wedding shoots to photo shoots. Kamlesh says that if we talk about the cost of destination wedding in Nainital, then in a property of 40 to 45 rooms, with about 100 to 150 guests, the average cost including food is Rs 18 to 20 lakh. Apart from this, there may be different expenses depending on the facilities and number of people. He told that it is necessary for the government to promote Nainital for destination wedding. On one hand this will boost tourism and on the other hand the economy of the city will also improve.
