Celina Jaitley wrote an emotional note for her brother, retired Major Vikrant Jaitley, who has been detained in the UAE for almost a year.
Actress Celina Jaitley keeps hoping and praying that her brother, an Indian Army officer who has been under detention in the UAE for a year, is okay. Major (Retd) Vikrant Kumar Jaitley has reportedly been detained in the UAE since September 2024 over national security concerns. The actor wrote an emotional note on his Instagram account and shared that he has not slept a single night worrying about her.

On Monday, the Delhi High Court issued a notice to the Government of India to file a status report and also appointed a nodal officer for assistance and communication to the family. Major (Retd) Vikrant Kumar Jaitley has reportedly been detained in the UAE since September 2024 over national security concerns.
The petition further alleged that the Center had only provided “precise consular assistance” and failed to share any concrete information or updates about her brother’s condition.
The court issued a notice to the Center and directed it to file the status report within four weeks. The High Court has also directed the recruitment of a nodal officer to know the status of his brother Major (retd) Vikrant Kumar Jaitley.
According to news agency PTI report, Celina Jaitley’s brother was living in UAE since 2016 and was working at MATITI Group, which was engaged in trading, consulting and risk management services.
