Actress Manushi Chhillar, who recently appeared with Diljit Dosanjh in the music video of his latest track Kufar, has found herself at the center of social media discussion. While her fans are loving the song, a section of users took a dig at the former Miss World, questioning why her appearances have been “limited to short dance performances.” Now, Manushi has clapped back at the troll with a sharp response.

Ever since the release of the song, Manushi’s Instagram comment section has been buzzing with reactions. While many fans praised her appearance, many others questioned her decision to feature in the music video, leading to a wave of mixed opinions on social media.
One wrote, “Manushi has completed her MBBS degree??? How dedicated and innocent she was when she won the pageant, look at her now… how much showbiz has changed her.”, another wrote, “Beauty with a purpose, so is this your purpose Manushi? To make seductive moves?”
“He left the doctor’s profession to do this,” wrote one.
One social media user wrote, “From STS to becoming a doctor, to becoming Miss World, then to becoming an aspiring film star and now limited to small dance performances? Is Miss World all this??”
Responding to the same, Manushi hit back saying, “I have always admired people who value education. But I have also learned that wisdom lies in respecting every form of art and expression. The world needs both thinkers and creators; none of them are ‘less’ when they uplift others.”
He further added, “Each stage, story and song has its own purpose, none less than the other.”
Earlier this week, Diljit released the song Kufar featuring Manushi with him. This song is part of his album AURA. Talking about the album, Diljit said, “The vibe of the album is sexy, I’m sexy. It’s sexy songs for sexy dancing… The word aura actually came from my fans. In my shows, they often talk about my aura and how it feels. They say the vibe is amazing – some are dancing and singing, while others get emotional. So really, it was my audience who made me Gave up this idea.”

Manushi Chhillar won the Miss World 2017 pageant. She made her Bollywood debut in 2022 with the Akshay Kumar-starrer Samrat Prithviraj. This year, she had two releases – Maalik with Rajkummar Rao and Tehran with John Abraham.
Recently news came that Manushi has left signing Awarapan 2 for another big film. A source close to the project told HT, “The makers had approached Manushi to play the lead role in the sequel, but she did not take up the project as she is currently in talks for another big film and has a very busy schedule, so the makers considered casting Disha Patani opposite Emraan Hashmi.” She is also in talks to work in Dinesh Vijan’s next film.
