Whatsapp is becoming a big part of our life in today’s time. On this, every kind of details are shared with each other. Therefore, privacy is important to worry. The stories of hacking are increasing so much that sometimes we suspect that our account is not even with anyone, and someone else is using our account. If this happens, our privacy may be in danger and private messages, photos or calls can go into someone else’s hands.
Check linked devices-
Android / iPhone: Go to Whatsapp, tap on Settings, then go to Linked devices.
See there, is there any unknown device or browser logging in. If it is, then tap on it and do log out or log out from all devices.
Whatsapp Web/Desktop Login Notification
If someone has logged in from Whatsapp Web, then you may see a notification on the phone. Looking at the unknown device in linked devices is danger.
Looks something strange in chat history
The messages not read but you do not know. New or unknown groups, messages sent on your behalf which you have not written are also indicated that someone else is accessing chat.
‘Last Seen’/ ‘Online’
If you are seeing that you were not online, but someone may have activity from your account, it may be that someone else is running WhatsApp.
Security code / encryption notification
You can get notifications by changing someone’s encryption code.
Keep ‘Show Security Notifications’ on Settings> Account> Security.
If suspicion seems sure, do this work immediately
