About 20 percent of these people travel by doing reservation, while the remaining people walk in trains from general tickets or MST. Recently, Aadhaar has been made mandatory for those who book immediate tickets. OTP verification has become necessary during booking. Now the booking does not move forward without registering it. After this, only users with Aadhaar link can book in the first 15 minutes as soon as the booking opens at 8 am. This new rule is being implemented from first October.
There are many people who will not have a base link. The reason for this can be many, the lack of mobile number in the base or a mistake in the Aadhaar may also be the reason. Such people do not have to get upset. Indian Railways has given an option to these people, so that without Aadhaar link reservation can be done. 80 percent of people do not use these services.
Indian Railways has exempted PRS (Passenger Reservation System) from this rule. That is, you can do a reservation without Aadhaar by going to any railway station or PRS counter. At present, only 20 percent of the people are going to PRS and doing reservation. Here you have to pay the slip on the reservation counter and you can get the reservation done.
