In a notable achievement, which has been proud of the institute and has strengthened his position as a leader in research and innovation, students of School of Computing Science and Engineering of Sharda University have secured All India Rank 2 in the ISRO Robotics Challenge-IOC-U 2025.

The challenge organized by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) tested the simplicity, technical knowledge and problems of India’s most talented young minds. More than 510 teams across the country, some of which compete in the most prestigious institutions such as IITs, NITs and IIITs, this high-day national program. Only 16 teams upgraded for the final field round held at ISRO URSC Satellite Center in Bangalore, where Sharda University team Soriya proudly finished nationwide nationwide.

Team Sori’s journey

This success story has the hard work, flexibility and innovation of Team Soriya – a group of dynamic engineering students with a passion for robotics and autonomous systems. The team led by Karthik Pandey, as co-Leed with Mascan, and Prashant as the chief member. Through this visit, he was guided by his dedicated Guru Rani Asta and Jitendra Singh, who provided technical expertise and moral assistance.

Team Soriya’s entry into the challenge was nothing short of extraordinary. He designed and developed an advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), able to conduct complex operations in the GPS-Ana environment-a technical domain that represents some of the most difficult challenges in aerospace engineering. Their UAV was equipped with a self -sufficient system that can be autonomous: navigate using the onboard sensor and algorithm, identify safe landing zones, and perform accurate landing without human intervention.

What really separates them was novels for navigation, localization and autonomous landing, their ability to create and apply self-developed algorithms. Unlike the off-the-shelf solutions, these algorithms were built by the students themselves from the ground. In the last field era in Bengaluru, ISRO scientists tested their UAVs under real -world conditions. The performance, accuracy and reliability of the system of Team Soriya not only demonstrated technical mastery, but also its best creative problem.

A heritage of stability

This victory is not a different achievement. In fact, Team Soriya has a track record of excellence in national level competitions. In 2024, the team received the third prize in the ISRO Rover Challenge, individually honored by the Honorable President of India, Mrs. Droupadi Murmu. His continuous success over the years highlights the depth of talent at the University of Sharda and the ability of the institution to cultivate leaders in emerging technology sectors.

Sharda University: A global name in education

Team Sori’s achievement is also reflective to the widespread institutional excellence of Sharda University. Glieved, Sharda University Times Higher Education is ranked 59th in the World University Rankings 2025 and ranks within the 400–500 bands in Asia. With students representing more than 95 nationalities, Sharda has earned his title as a global university in India.

The university offers 135+ UGC-recognized programs at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Its 63 -acre complex in Greater Noida is a melting pot of cultures, ideas and subjects, which promotes an environment that encourages cooperation and innovation. There is integration of artificial intelligence in the curriculum to further separate Sharda, students are not only coordinated with technical changes, but also preparing it to run it actively.

The Sharda School of Computing Science and Engineering
Sharda School of Computing Science and Engineering (SCSE) has become one of the most respected engineering schools in North India. This reputation is reflected in Times Engineering Ranking 2025, where Sharda achieved: third rank in North India. In India, the 12th overall position in India, ranked 11th across the country and 6th in research across the country.

Such praise is the result of academic excellence, hand learning and consistent focus of Sharda on state -of -the -art research. The school provides NBA-recognized B.Tech. Programs in subjects such as Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bio -Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

The presence of state-of-the-art laboratories and industry-grade environments ensures that students gain practical risk to real-world challenges by implementing theoretical knowledge.

One of the distinguishing characteristics of Sharda is its strong culture of invention and entrepreneurship. Students are encouraged not only to academically academically, but are also motivated to work on projects that have a real world influence. It has given rise to remarkable student-linen innovations such as: a humanoid robot, designed for complex functioning, electric vehicles for different and elderly individuals, vision-one electric sports bike, van-one futuristic hubless electric bike, a hybrid solar-novel bike, a hybrid solar-novel bike and a mountain poverty-off drail (SAPD).

These innovations are more than only prototypes-they symbolize the rich startup ecosystem of Sharda, where creativity comes from mentorship, and ideas are converted into entrepreneurial undertakings. Many alumni of Sharda’s engineering programs have gone to establish successful startups, strengthening the university’s reputation as a launchpad for future entrepreneurs.

Sharda University is deeply committed to pursuing research in emerging technologies shaping the global landscape. Major focus areas include: robotics and autonomous systems, quantum communication, biomedical devices, semiconductor innovations, autonomous vehicles, next generation communication networks, including 5G and 6G test beds.

By encouraging students and faculty to engage in these state -of -the -art domains, Sharada ensures that its graduates are ready to make meaningful contribution to both national priorities and international progress in science and technology.

Sharda’s victory in ISRO’s robotics challenge – a will for vision and mentorship

The ISRO simulates the vision of Sori’s Vijay Sharda University in Robotics Challenge to nurture the vision of Vijay Sharda University technically efficient, globally competent and socially responsible engineers. Not only is the determination of students behind every achievement, but also of the strong infrastructure supporting the tireless and advanced research of the faculty members.

This achievement is also a reminder that innovation flourishes when knowledge fulfills the opportunity. Sharda University provides fertile land where students can dream, take risks, and turn ambitious ideas into reality.
