Sophie defends the controversial scene
Turner reflected back on working on the popular show Game of Thrones during an interview with Flont, where he also spoke about the scene in which her character (Sansa Stark) was sexually harassed by her husband. She said she still believes that the show “was actually doing a lot of justice to women.”
Turner said, “I felt – and still – that game of throne sheds a light on the things that were like many people, ‘Oh God, you can’t show that kind of thing’ – and I think it can be triggered – I understand that approach completely. I feel like a woman who knows who does not have any form.”
He said, “I think if the game of Thrones come out today, we will definitely give some trigger warnings. But I am really proud to be a part of the game of Thrones, where they did not hesitate to show the atrocities with women. I feel proud to be part of the conversation.”

Sophie Turner starred as Sansa Stark in all eight sessions of the HBO series. She was at the center of one of the biggest controversies of the show, when Sansa was raped on her wedding night in the process season 5.
In the controversial season 5 episodes, which was titled “Anboud, Anbent, Unbroken”, Sansa Stark tolerated very physical and emotional violence at her husband, Ramsay Bolton (Ivan Ron).
