The 2025 Renault Cagger facelift may have donated a new face and a tweet inside its cabin, but it eventually remains the same under the hood.
Renault has launched Kigar facelift in India at an initial price 6.29 lakhs, while the cost of top-spec trim 11.29 Lakh (East-Shoreroom). This update makes sub-compact SUV Costers 6,000 compared to the outgoing model, when it comes to the top-end trim. Interestingly, Renault launched the Kigar facelift after a few weeks of launching the only MPV tribal facelift from the brand for sale in India.
The launch of the Renault Kegar facelift was when the festive season knocked on the door. With this launch, Renault is hoping to promote its overall sales.
While the fresh Kiger design and feature comes with a host of changes in the front, thanks to a modified style of the front profile and a new alloy wheel design, with additional features inside the cabin, mechanically, SUV remains similar to the old model.
The French auto giants have not updated Poetrain. The engine options remain similar to the pre-faeselift model. It is available with a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol motor. The power and torque output of these two engines remain the same as before, while the transmission options are also unchanged. Transmission options for SUVs include five-speed manual gearbox, an AMT and CVT unit.
Interestingly, a few weeks ago, the automekar did the same, launching the Renault Tribiller facelift. MPV only received cosmetic and feature updates. Mechanic, SUV remained unchanged. None of the turbo-petrol engine disappointed many consumers.
Renault Kiger Facelift: Paurtrain remains unchanged
The 1.0-liter naturally chopped the 72 bhp peak power and 96 Nm maximum torque. On the other hand, the turbocharged petrol motor produces 100 bhp peak power and 160 Nm maximum torque. Transmission options include five-speed manual gearbox, five-speed AMT and a CVT. Renault claims that naturally aspirated motor offers 19.83 kmpl, while the turbo-petrol unit comes with 20.38 kmpl fuel efficiency.
