According to the notice, the Regional Office, Kos and Sub-Regional offices are located in Gurugram, Lucknow, Raipur, Ranchi, Agartala, Itanagar and Gangtok.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has established regional, sub-regional offices and excellence centers in seven cities. According to the notice, these offices are located in Gurugram, Lucknow, Raipur, Ranchi, Agartala, Itanagar and Gangtok. The CBSE has said that all schools associated with the board will be managed by their respective offices as per the courts specified.
In an official notification signed by Secretary Himanshu Gupta, it was announced that after the approval of the Finance Committee on 12 December 2024 (agenda item number II), on December 26, 2024, by the governing body, and the control authority of the Board, and the Control Authority of the Board, Secretary (SE & L), Ministry of Education, Six New Regional Officers, and Sub-collecting State USA.
The notice also included detailed addresses and those dates will also be included.
Regional Office and Kos
Gurugram Office (COE)
Situated at Gurugram Technology Park, this Office will supervise 12 southern districts of haryana, including bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurugram, Jhajjar, Mahendragar, Mahendragar, Nuh, Nuh, Nuh, Palwal, PANIPAT, Rewari, Rohtak, and Sonipat. It will start operations on September 1, 2025.
Lucknow Office
Located in Gomti Nagar Extension, The Lucknow Office will manage 30 districts of Uttar Pradesh, Including Amethi, Ayodhya, Bareilly, Etawah, Jhansi, Kanpur, Luckhnow, Mathahur, Math Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, and Unnao, Starting from September 1, 2025.
Raipur Office (COE)
Based on CSIDC Corporate Tower, Raipur, this office will be responsible for schools in Chhattisgarh, which is effective today, 22 August, 2025.
Ranchi Office (COE)
Bansal Bhavan, located in Ranchi, it will oversee schools in Jharkhand starting from August 22, 2025.
Sub-regional office
Agartala
The new office in West Tripura will complete schools in Tripura starting from September 15, 2025.
Itanagar
Established in the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Gohpur Tunali, Itanagar, this office will serve Arunachal Pradesh effectively from August 22, 2025.
Gangtes
Located in Gangtok, Gangtok, this office will start from August 22, 2025, will oversee schools in Sikkim.
Additionally, in a separate notice, CBSE announced its cooperation with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to conduct an awareness program against the misuse of drugs in CBSE-condemned schools. NCB, an MoU with the Ministry of Home Affairs, in September, will be signed in September at CBSE headquarters in Dwarka, New Delhi.
