RRB Technician Recruitment 2025: Essential things from eligibility to documents, important things to learn before applying

RRB Technician Recruitment 2025: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) started the online registration process for various categories of Technician Grade-I Signal and Technician Grade-III Recruitment, 2025. Candidates who are willing to apply for the recruitment process can submit their application on the official website on rrbapply.gov.in.

Before applying, candidates should know about some important points about the recruitment campaign – from eligibility to important important documents, and more.

Eligibility:

According to RRB, eligibility of candidates will be considered provisional, based on the details submitted by the candidates in the online application.

The board stated that it would not conduct a detailed examination of applications for eligibility, and that candidature would only be accepted to meet the original eligibility criteria.

It states that candidates will have to go through educational qualification, age, medical standards etc. and should satisfy themselves that they are eligible for the post.

A) nationality: The candidate should either be a citizen of India, Nepal, the subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee, who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin, who Pakistan, Burma, Shri Lanca, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Unda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Uganda, Ugand Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settle in India.

B) Age (July 1, 2025): 18 to 33 years for technician grade-I signal, and 18 to 30 years for technician Grade-III. There is rest in the upper age limit for reserved categories.

C) Educational Qualification: Candidates must have already fixed educational/technical qualifications prescribed from a recognized institute/university, as is on the last date (28.07.2025) to submit the application. Some qualifications include class 10 passing certificate, Bachelors Certificate (eg B.Sc) and other relevant qualifications. Detailed post-wise qualification can be checked on official notification.

RRB said that candidates who are waiting for the results of the final examination of the prescribed educational/technical qualification should not be applicable.

Examination Fee:

1. For all candidates (except reserved categories): 500 , When 400 is displayed in CBT, the bank fee will be returned to duly cut as per the implementation.)
2. For those candidates who belong to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PWBD, Femaly, Transgender, Minority or Economically Backward Classes (EBC): 250, which when displayed in CBT, will be returned to duly cut the bank fee when implemented.
3. Fees payments can be made online only through internet banking, debit/credit card or UPI. Applications received without the prescribed fee will not be considered and will be briefly rejected.

Documents to be prepared during online application:

1. Candidate signature in JPG/JPEG format: Signature should only be written by the candidate, the black paper should be used in black ink pen, and should not be in blocks, capital or disintegrated letters.
2. SC/ST certificate (for candidates requesting free train travel pass) in PDF format (400 kb size).

Recruitment process:

The selection process involves a computer-based test, followed by the document verification. CBT will be held separately for both posts for 90 minutes in which candidates need to answer 100 questions.

There will be a negative marking of ⅓ RD marks for each wrong answer.

To be eligible for the next phase of the selection process, candidates related to different categories need to obtain the following minimum marks-

Unreserved: 40 percent

EWS: 40 percent

OBC-NCL: 30 percent

SC: 30 percent

St: 25 percent

In particular, the last date to apply is July 28, 2025, and the application fee payment deadline is 30 July, 2025.

Application Form Reform Window will open from 1 August to 10 August 2025.

Through this recruitment drive, RRB aims to fill 6238 vacancies.
