UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship: Online registration process for University Grants Commission (Inseparable) Ishaan Uday Scholarship is running for the North East Region (NER). Eligible and interested candidates can apply for UGC Ishan Uday scholarship by 31 October at the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), scholarips.gov.in.
Under this scheme, ten thousand scholarships are provided to students belonging to the economically weaker section of the northeast region every year. 8,000 per month for ten months.
Under each category, fifty percent of scholarships are prescribed for arts, humanities and social sciences, laws, management and science, engineering and technology, medicine, technical, agriculture and forestry programs.
The result or selection status is generally announced in November/December.
UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants Northeast (CBSE
- They should pursue a recognized bachelor’s degree
- Only those students who are already admitted in the first year of the UG degree program in a qualified university/college/institution within India are eligible to apply.
- Students who have already obtained degrees are not eligible.
- Scholarship will be provided for the duration of UG degree program. For integrated and dual degree programs, the scholarship will only be provided for the duration of the UG compartment.
- The scholarship is only for those who study a regular, full -time course. Open/ distance/ correspondence/ private/ part -time courses are not eligible.
- The students admitted through the management quota are not eligible.
- The income of the applicant’s annual parents should be down 4.50 Lakh per annum.
- Applicants should have a valid domicile certificate of any northeastern state.
- Renewal of scholarship is subject to good conduct and maintenance of prescribed presence. The scholarship for the next year of study will be renewed at the successful completion of the first year of the study.
