Volkswagen Golf GTI has been one of the most prestigious hatchbacks of all time globally. Internal part
Inside, golf GTI has a driver-centric layout. The 12.9 inch touchscreen infotainment system is slightly angled towards the driver for better access and is a fully digital instrument cluster for necessary driving information. Additionally, there is support for a three-spoke GTI steering wheel, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and connected tech. With this future touch, golf GTI also lives in an old school with a tartan pattern at the same time. While the rear seat space cannot be its strength, it is still enough space for the rear. The 380-liter boot space also adds to overall practicality.
Production
Price of 52.99 lakhs (pre-shame, introductory), golf GTI enters the Indian market through the CBU (fully manufactured) route. This means limited availability and high cost due to import duties. First, the booking was opened for only 150 units, catering for a niche audience, but due to strong demand, the German manufacturer quickly added 100 and more. It is a statement product aimed at the purpose of enthusiastic people who want something unique without compromising on performance.
In India, golf GTI will rival a select group of premium compact cars and entry-level models. These include mini cooper S and Mercedes-AMG A45S, providing a mixture of driving dynamics, badge value and luxury within uniform pricing.
