The 76-year-old Austrian-born actor and former governor of California was detained at a customs area on Wednesday afternoon after arriving from the United States, spokesman Thomas Meister said. Schwarzenegger was expected to be able to continue his visit at the end of the day, but “will probably remain under observation,” Meister said. Criminal proceedings had been initiated against the Terminator star and former bodybuilding icon for tax evasion, he said.
