Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the examination City Intemission Slip for Stenographer Grade C and Grade D Skill Test available on SSC.Gov.in. According to the official notification, the entry pass of the admit card and scribe will be released two days before the examination.
Candidates who have passed computer based examination will require to appear in the Stenography Skill Test. A total of 9,343 candidates have been eligible in CBT for the post of Stenographer Grade C, and 26,608 for the post of Stenographer Grade D
Skills for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ exam, 2024 are scheduled for April 16 and 17, 2025. The final selection will be based on performance in both CBT and skill test, followed by the document verification.
In skill testing, candidates will be given a dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as selected in the online application form) by stenographer grade ‘C’ per minute (WPM) and stenographer grade ‘D’ per minute for 80 WPM (WPM). Candidates selecting for Stenography Test in Hindi will need to learn English stenography and vice versa after their appointment. Their probation appointment cannot be clear by departments/organizations by failing to do so.
SSC Steno 2024 Grade C and D Paper I Exam was held on 10 and 11 December 2024. The question paper included multi-favorite questions (MCQs) of the objective-type available in both English and Hindi. In computer-based examination, a fine of 0.25 marks was implemented for each wrong answer.

Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ exam was conducted in various centers across the country, and the results reveal the following qualification marks:
Ur (General Category): 30 percent
OBC/EWS: 25 percent
All other categories (SC, ST, PWD, ESM, etc.): 20 percent
