The fort was strategically designed to control Amba and Anushka Ghat. It was earlier known as Bhojgarh, but Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj won it in 1659 and named it ‘Vishalgarh’. The work of the state’s rope-way projects under the Parmtala Yojana will be started through the National Highway Logistics Management Limited (NHLML). An agreement has been reached between the state government and NHLML on 3 February. According to this agreement, the state government will provide all the necessary support for these projects. This will increase employment opportunities along with the development of local tourism. Tourists will get a different experience and this will lead to the progress of the state’s tourism sector.
