Union public service commission (UPSC) has extended the last date for applying for Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025.
The Civil Services Preliminary Examination is to be held on 25 May.
according to a UPSC The last date for registration for the notification, Civil Services (Preliminary) -2025 and Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) -2025 exam has been extended to “18.02.2025 (6 pm).”
The notification states that after the closure of the application window, an improvement window will also open for the applicants by the end of the next day to seven days.
The news agency PTI, citing official sources, said that some applicants had complained of some glitter being faced by them while applying through the UPSC portal.
Earlier, the last date to apply for online examination was till 6 pm on February 11, 2025.

Civil Services Examination is conducted in three phases by UPSC every year – Early, Main and Interview – Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) to select officers, Beach, others.
This year, the number of vacancies filled through the examination is expected to be around 979 which includes 38 vacancies reserved for benchmark disability category individuals.
Goa HSSC board exam to start on February 10
The GOA Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) will conduct its class 12 examinations on February 10 in 20 centers in the state.
According to an official release, the exam will begin at 9.30 am for all streams including art, commerce, science and commercial.
Examinations will be held from 10 February to 1 March at 20 examination centers.
The release said, “Seating arrangements for candidates are available on the board’s website. Candidates are advised to appear in the examination centers at least 45 minutes before the examination starts.”
This year 17,718 (regular category) candidates will appear for the examination.
