The actress took to Instagram to admit how she struggled with her weight for a long time and did not take care of her body and health. This inspired her to share ‘something she never said out loud’ to make others feel empowered.
“When I was 19, I was going through a lot. I was not in the best headspace. During this period my weight increased significantly; This had a negative impact on my fitness and health. I stopped doing any physical activity and that made things even worse. The final nail that hit was the fact that I had a slipped disc at such a young age! I was always ambitious. I always wanted to be a career-oriented girl. And now, I had something that became a major obstacle in chasing my dreams. I think that was a big warning sign for me. “I couldn’t believe that I had taken myself lightly,” Shreya wrote in the letter.

When Shreya finally decided to take charge of her life, she focused on her well-being and lost 30 kg by the time she was 21. With his brand new approach, he suffered no recurrence of slipped discs, allowing him to rest easy and focus on getting even more fit.
“Life will always bring us challenges; I think, we just need to move forward and stay focused. touch wood. I am completely fit now. From the girl with the slip disc, I can now box like a beast! I can dance, stand on my two feet for hours during a shoot and push my body to the hilt on the sets whenever needed,” the Bandish Bandits actor wrote.
