Hours after the letter, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju accused ‘some opposition parties’ of reacting without knowing the real system. He said that Prime Minister Modi will not address this program.

“The problem with some opposition parties is that they start reacting without knowing the real system. The Prime Minister is not even speaking at the function tomorrow (Tuesday). The President, Vice President and President of India will speak,” Rijiju said.
As per the schedule, Birla will deliver the welcome address, followed by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar’s speech and President Murmu’s address. A commemorative coin and a postage stamp and three books on the Constitution will also be released to mark the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution.
“Secondly, we have made seating arrangements for the leader of the opposition of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on the stage. This kind of reaction on a very serious occasion, without knowing anything, is condemnable.
In the best traditions and interests of parliamentary democracy, leaders of the opposition should also be given an opportunity to speak.
Constitution Day, also known as Constitution Day, is celebrated every year on 26 November. This day marks the adoption of the Indian Constitution by the Constituent Assembly of India in 1949.
The Constitution finally came into effect on January 26, 1950, when India became a republic.
