Protein rich breakfast to lose 10 kg weight
Anushka, who documents her fitness journey and also shares weight loss tips on her Instagram page, shared her protein-rich breakfast options in a reel titled ‘6 High-Protein Breakfasts I Tried, 10 Eaten again and again to lose kilograms. In the caption, she wrote, “Start your day with six delicious vegetarian breakfast options packed with protein. From cheese-filled tacos to sprouted avocado toast, there’s something for everyone. Fuel your morning, huh?” Here are six breakfast options that helped Anushka lose weight:
- Cheese Stuffed Tacos
- Sprouts and Avocado Toast
- 100 grams paneer with 2 semolina cheelas
- 1 Beetroot Cheela + 100g Raw Paneer and Cucumber Filling
- Oatmeal with Vegetable Protein Powder
- Moon Dal Chilla + Chana (Chickpea) and Tofu
Why is it important to have a protein-rich breakfast?
Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. Therefore, having breakfast with the right nutrients like folate, calcium, iron, vitamin B and fiber in addition to protein can help you get a better start to your day and improve your cognitive function.
In an interview with HT Lifestyle, dietitian Ridhima Khmersa, founder of Ridhima Khmersa Diet Clinic, said, “Breakfast is the first meal of the day and is extremely important to kick-start our metabolism. Eating well balanced meals across all macros keeps us healthy and energetic throughout the day.
As far as having a protein-rich diet in the morning is concerned, the dietitian said, “Including a protein-rich breakfast in the morning maintains your energy levels in the morning and also improves cognitive function. A high-protein diet helps maintain stable blood sugar levels and reduce the drop in energy levels that is seen after consuming high-carbohydrate meals.”
