NASA astronaut Sunita Williams, who has been in space for a long time, has dismissed rumors about her “dangerous weight loss” during her stay on the International Space Station. She said that her thighs and buttocks “have gotten a little bigger”.
Williams said in the latest video that he weighs the same as he did before the mission. She said, “There are a lot of changes going on but…it’s funny I think there are some rumors out there that I’m losing weight…I’m actually right at the same level.”
Williams explained the “fluid change”, saying, “My weight is the same as I was when I came here. I think things change quite a bit…” She added that people’s heads in space “Looks a little bigger as fluids move out evenly along the body”.
Sunita Williams also gave details about her exercise routine on the International Space Station. He said that weightlifting has “definitely changed” him.
He said, “Butch [Wilmore] And I have been here for several months. We are working out here.
Williams said, “We have a bike, we have a treadmill, and we have weightlifting equipment, and I can definitely tell that weightlifting, which I don’t do all the time, definitely changed me. Is.”
She added, “…my thighs are a little bigger, my butt is a little bigger. We do a lot of squats and just get back on the treadmill.”
Williams said he and his partner Butch are working to maintain bone density. She said, “…that’s because we’re working on the bone density in my hips and legs. I feel like my body has changed a little bit, but my weight is the same.”
Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, who flew aboard Boeing’s Starliner on June 5, are spending extra time in space after their spacecraft returned to Earth empty due to anomalies.
Both NASA astronauts were to return home in a few weeks after the launch of Starliner in June 2024. However, now they will return to Earth in February 20245 with the SpaceX Dragon craft.
