The first of the two final Haikyuu anime films will debut on an OTT platform by the end of this month.
Haikyuu: The Dumpster Battle, the first of the two final anime films that will complete the adrenaline-fueling sports franchise, is set for its OTT premiere this October. The film was initially released in Japanese theaters in February 2024 and was gradually released in other countries in the following months. Production IG The film crossed the $100 million mark at the worldwide box office. And now, it is on its way to breaking even more milestones in the streaming field.
The 2024 Haikyuu film will be available on the streamer for Asian audiences starting Thursday, October 31, as announced on the official Netflix anime page on October 17 (IST). However, it is not clear which countries on the continent will be able to use it. The film will be released by the end of this month.

The streaming giant describes the film: “As the Karasuno team takes on Nekoma High in the third round of the national championship, Hinata faces her rival Kenma by staking everything!”
Based on the iconic series from manga creator Haruichi Furudate, The Dumpster Battle film is a direct sequel to the fourth season of the TV anime adaptation. Distributed by Toho in Japan, the highly anticipated premiere hits US theaters on May 30 thanks to Crunchyroll via Sony Pictures. The next day, Indian audiences headed to the theatres.
