The principal said that after receiving information about a Class 3 student falling unconscious on the playground, she was rushed to the nearby Fatima Hospital.
A nine-year-old student of Montfort School here died of a heart attack while playing on the campus, the school principal said on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by the school principal on Thursday, Manvi Singh, a Class 3 student, was rushed to the nearby Fatima Hospital after she was reported unconscious on the playground.
The principal said the girl’s family took her to Chandan Hospital, where doctors said she died of a heart attack.
He said that the matter also came to the notice of the police, but the girl’s family has asked not to take any action.
After receiving information about the student’s death, a holiday was declared in the school on Friday.
