How have fans reacted to this news?
It comes as no surprise that fans had high expectations from the ‘incredible project’. However, the announcement has failed to keep up their expectations, and their disappointment in the initiative is deep. Following the announcement, a Twitter user commented, “…what do the words “special” and “incredible” mean to the Japanese?” Similar disappointment was also noted by another reader, who expressed, “After the announcement of MHA and Tokyo Ghoul, I no longer trust Japan.”
Another user wrote, “And here I thought this was a spin-off manga of Nobara.” The fan highlighted their disappointment and high expectations from the announcement.
One disappointed fan slammed Shonen Jump and said, “These “special projects” are ridiculous. Not just this one, but MHA too! Can’t they be more creative?! Oh wait, we’re talking about Shonen Jump, sorry, the short answer is no.”

What were fans expecting from the Jujutsu Kaisen special project reveal?
Fans have lost hope after the announcement of the second part of Jujutsu Kaisen, with someone commenting on Twitter, “This means we’re not getting JJk part 2?” Instead of exciting its audience, it seems the project has caused damage that can’t be repaired.
The project sparked a mountain of expectations from those excited. Expectations of a Jujutsu Kaisen-inspired game, movie, and even a new season were circulated among readers. One Redditor even commented, “Imagine a live-action movie, imagine seeing Jogot.”
One excited fan also wrote, “A new game will most likely come out, but I really want a sequel. It would really help characters that weren’t developed before (mainly Angel) get a chance to be explored in more depth, as well as focus on a new premise/plot point.”
Another user wanted a Star Wars-style series from Gage. The commenter responded, “I’m hoping he makes a bunch of short stories using all of his lore dumps that he never explained. A Star Wars Visions type series would be really hard to do.”
However, these expectations were far from reality. The announcement failed to create a storm of enthusiasm among readers.
