SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), a constituent of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, concluded its legacy autumn placement cycle for the combined Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Business Management (PGDM(BM)) 2025 cohort.
A total of 341 students got autumn internships with leading companies, with an average stipend of 3,15,000.
Further, a total of 390 offers were made by 75 companies, out of which FMCG sector dominated with 35 per cent of the participants getting placements in this sector.
This was followed by consultancy companies, where a record high of 21 per cent of students were given placement offers. ₹ 3,10,000, which shows an increase of 3.5% over the previous year.
The top 50 per cent of students in the batch received an average of 10% of offers. 4,17,000.
Recruiters from diverse sectors offered projects in corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, product management, analytics, e-commerce, general management, corporate finance, corporate IT, healthcare, sales and marketing, branding, operations and supply chain roles, a press release issued by SPJIMR stated.
In addition, the number of investment banking/private equity and product management offerings reached record highs, growing more than 110% and 400%, respectively, compared to the previous year.

Some of the major recruiters in these sectors include DC Advisory, Nomura, JM Financials, Edelweiss Alternatives, American Express, Intuit, Tata Digital and Samsung Research, the release said.
In addition, this year’s internship cycle also included 22 first-time recruiters. These include National Infrastructure Investment Fund (NIIF), Info Edge, Motilal Oswal, HSBC, Kenview, Lupin, Lenskart, Titan, Angel One Wealth, Henkel and Aquitas Investments.
Professor Varun Nagaraj, Dean, SPJIMR expressed his gratitude to the students and industry partners for their continued support.

Professor Renuka Kamath, Associate Dean, Full-time Programmes at SPJIMR, highlighted that the increase in batch size as well as the support from industry partners reflects SPJIMR’s strong and steadfast relationships, but is also a testimony to the significant contribution of graduates in developing leadership pipelines within organisations.
Professor Ashita Agarwal, Chairperson of PGDM & PGDM (BM), said that it was heartening to see the performance of the students during the autumn recruitment process as they got opportunities that matched their skills and aspirations.
The last autumn internship cycle for the PGDM and PGDM (BM) batch of 2024-2026 is scheduled for September 2024.
