On this Jagadguru Shankaracharya said, ‘First of all, if there is a Pandit, he will not perform the marriage, he will get the marriage done. So first you should choose your words correctly. If we talk about marriage, it has nothing to do with day and night. It is done in a stable Lagna. If there is a marriage in a stable Lagna, it means the marriage will last.’

There is no place for divorce in Sanatan Dharma

he adds, ‘When two people come together, their first need is to stay connected with each other for life. There is no mention in our scriptures that says that once a husband and wife come together, they can separate. This is not written anywhere. In Sanatan Dharma, divorce, Chhut-Chheda, Alaga-Vilgi, whatever you say, it does not happen. That is why a stable Lagna is sought for marriage, so that the marriage remains stable. So stable Lagnas come at night as well as during the day. So according to the Lagna, marriage can be done anytime during the day or night. There is no consideration of day or night.’
