Alanna Panday’s reel of skipping her newborn’s sleep time impressed many. Here’s how you can ensure both you and your baby are well-rested.
Alanna Panday recently became a mother and her photos and videos reflect her motherhood journey. Alanna gave us an amazing reel on Sunday which we couldn’t help but love. She shared a glimpse of her baby’s nap time on her Instagram profile. In the reel, Alanna spotted her baby dressed in a hoodie and shorts while he skipped his nap time to stare at the ceiling fan. “Everything is interesting during nap time,” Alanna wrote in the caption.
The video was flooded with likes and comments in no time. Alanna’s mom Deanne Panday showered Alanna and her son with love. She wrote, “He is so cute…love him so much.” Some netizens liked her reel and said, “They all do that. I tell you, my son loves watching the fan,” wrote one comment. “I have seen many babies get so attracted to seeing the fan spin,” commented another netizen. It seems that putting your newborn to sleep at nap time is a struggle that all new moms go through. Here are some tips to ensure that you and your baby are well-rested:
When the baby sleeps, you should also sleep:
A newborn takes about 2 to 4 hours of naps, which means a total of 16 to 18 hours of sleep every day. We suggest that new parents should also try to nap when the baby is sleeping. This way, parents can also get some rest and feel refreshed to spend time with the baby when he is awake.
Leave work:
When a baby comes, the house becomes a mess. Taking care of the baby becomes every parent’s primary focus. We suggest asking for help by skipping household chores – family members and friends will understand why the house is a mess.
Share nightly tasks:
Instead of taking on all the responsibility, share baby care duties at night with your partner. This way, you will both be able to get some sleep at night when the baby is awake or unable to nap.
Place the crib near the bed:
Rather than placing the baby’s crib in another room, we recommend placing the crib near the bed so that you can get up and tend to your baby when he wakes up at night. This makes it easier to get back to bed and fall asleep.
Practice good sleep hygiene:
Follow a regular sleep schedule and start incorporating it into your newborn’s routine as well. This way, it will help both of you fall asleep faster and have a sound sleep.
