New Delhi. BMW Motorrad on Wednesday launched its flagship electric scooter CE 04 in the Indian market. The BMW CE 04 will be sold in India as a fully built unit, priced at Rs 14.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Its delivery will start in September. India’s most expensive electric scooter, the BMW CE 04, has an 8.5 kWh battery pack that offers a range of up to 130 km on a single charge. The BMW CE 04 will come with a complimentary 2.3 kW home charger that takes 3 hours 30 minutes to charge from 0 – 80%. There is also an optional BMW wallbox charger available.
The CE 04 has also become the most powerful electric two-wheeler in the Indian market. The liquid-cooled, permanent-magnet synchronous motor develops 42 horsepower and 62 Nm of peak torque. The e-scooter has a maximum speed of 120 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 50 kmph in 2.6 seconds.

Binding the mechanicals of the CE 04 is a one-piece tubular steel main frame. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is standard. There is a double disc brake at the front and a single disc at the rear. The BMW CE 04 also gets Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and three riding modes: Eco, Rain and Road.
With the optional ‘Comfort Package’, riders can also add heated grips and backrest comfort seat. The optional ‘Dynamic Package’ also offers Riding Mode Pro, Headlight Pro, ABS Pro, Adaptive Headlights and Daytime Riding Light. Its design is quite futuristic, with a combination of functionality and aesthetics. The CE 04 comes standard with LED lighting, 15-inch alloy wheels and a floating single-piece seat. It gets a 10.25-inch TFT color split screen with Bluetooth connectivity.
