Anil Kapoor made his debut as a host in the digital world when he took over hosting duties from actor Salman Khan for the third season of Bigg Boss OTT. Now, as per a report in Ormax, the audience has accepted Anil as the host, with the third season garnering more viewers than Bigg Boss OTT 2. The show premiered on June 21. Jio Cinema’s Bigg Boss OTT 3 has topped the list of most-watched Indian unscripted shows in the first half of 2024.
Currently, Salman is focusing on the preparations for his upcoming film Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, which was one of the reasons why he did not host the third season of Bigg Boss OTT.
According to a survey report by Ormax, the Anil-hosted show recorded 5.3 million views in its opening weekend, while Bigg Boss OTT 2 recorded 2.4 million views. Moreover, Bigg Boss OTT 3 received 42% more views within three weeks.
The show is followed by The Great Indian Kapil Show, Shark Tank India Season 3, Ram Janmabhoomi: Return of a Splendid Son, The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth and Love Stories. All the properties are across genres, showcasing the diversity of formats in the non-fiction space of the OTT world.

The reality show went live on JioCinema on June 21. The show features Ranvir Shorey, Lovekesh Kataria, Sana Sultan, Sana Makbul, Sai Ketan Rao, Shivani Kumari, Vishal Pandey, Naezy, Armaan Malik, and Kritika Malik.

Apart from this, he is also rumoured to be a part of the YRF Spy Universe, and will star in War 2, Alpha, and Pathan 2. He is expected to play the chief of RAW (Research and Operations Wing).
