According to the report, Basaitha village is full of educated people, but Babita’s scheduled area has very few literate people. She is the only girl in the area who has completed 11th, 12th, graduation and post-graduation.
Babita also told that her childhood was spent in extreme poverty. She has two brothers and a sister in the family. Her father works as a labourer and earns 300 or 500 rupees per day. This is how their household runs.
Babita took the BPSC exam in the year 2020 and was selected for the post of Accounts Officer. Her father and mother do not know for which post their daughter has been selected. They still say that she has a government job.
After Babita’s selection, the condition of the house has improved a bit. Earlier the house was made of straw. Now she has started building the house, which will be ready in the next few months. Despite this, the father has not left his work.
Recently, while talking to the media, Surendra Ram told that his daughter is posted in Patna. Now he wants to educate other children so that they can also be successful like his daughter. Babita is the first girl from the extremely backward caste of this prosperous village who has reached this position and now she has become an example for others.
