The queen of mileage has changed its appearance, the engine also has a new look.

New Delhi. The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has launched the next generation model (Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024) of its famous hatchback car Maruti Swift this month. Maruti Swift entered the Indian market in the year 2005. Since then this car has captured the hearts of Indians. The company has left no stone unturned in decorating Swift 2024. It is expected that this fourth generation model of Swift will also make a lot of noise in the market.
The ex-showroom price of the fourth generation model of Swift starts from Rs 6.5 lakh (Maruti 4th generation Swift Price) and the price of the top variant is Rs 9.65 lakh. Many major changes have been made in the new Swift. The exterior and interior have been improved and the engine mechanism has also been changed.

Changes in the exterior gave it a ‘killer’ look
Talking about design, the old look has almost been retained in this new Swift. But with the new design and small changes, its look has become more refined than before. Sharp looking headlamps with projector setup have been provided in the front. A black grille with honeycomb pattern with dark chrome finish is provided between the two headlamps. The company logo is given above the grill and just below the bonnet. The front bumper has also been changed. There is no change in the side profile except for 16-inch alloy wheels. The taillights at the rear are now smaller and sportier than before.

Changes in the interior also
The new generation Swift has a new dashboard layout with black and white dual-tone theme. It is inspired by the Franxx, Baleno and Brezza. It has a 9.0-inch floating infotainment system. Other features include wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, connected car technology, steering-mounted controls and automatic climate control.

Maruti Swift 2024 Engine and Gearbox
The biggest change in the new Swift is on the powertrain front. The new Swift is powered by an all-new Z-series, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. It will replace the existing K12 four-cylinder engine. The company claims that the new Swift will give a mileage of MT variant 24.8 kmpl and AMT 25.75 kmpl. The new engine gives power of 82 hp and torque of 112 nm.

Security and color options
All variants of the new Swift come with six airbags, ESP, hill hold control and three-point seatbelts as standard. The new Swift is available in nine color options – Sizzling Red, Pearl Arctic White, Magma Gray and Splendid Silver. The new Maruti Suzuki Swift is available in five variants – LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi Plus and ZXI Plus DT. The new Swift is 15 mm longer and 30 mm taller than the old model. The wheelbase is only 2,450 mm.
