RBI Grade B Salary Structure
Candidates who have cleared the process of entry into Grade B of RBI will get a starting basic pay of Rs 55,200 per month in the pay scale of Rs. 55200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850(2) – 86550-3300(4)-99750 (16 Years). Currently, the monthly salary of RBI Grade B Officer is Rs 1,08,404/- (approximately). In terms of allowances, candidates will get Dearness Allowance, Local Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance and Grade Allowance. Additionally, selected candidates will have an initial monthly gross emolument (without HRA) of Rs. Rs.1,16,914/- (approx.). If the bank does not provide staff quarters, then house rent allowance of 15 percent of the basic salary will be given.
RBI Grade B Career Prospects
The candidates who will be selected will have a probation period for the initial two years of their appointment. According to RBI, the probation period can be extended to a maximum of four years. It is also found that the candidates selected for these posts can also be posted and transferred anywhere in India. Candidates will also get an opportunity to get promoted to higher grades.
If a Grade B candidate works honestly and sincerely, he can reach the level of Chief General Manager (CGM). Some candidates who are constantly growing and can handle the work properly also become Executive Directors (EDs). But only a few of them become Lieutenant Governor, because it requires a lot of effort and time.
