Chelsea Blackwell rose to overnight fame (and internet trolling) after starring on the latest season of the reality series Love Is Blind. One of the most shared and talked about moments of the season was her telling contestant Jimmy that she looked like ‘MGK’s wife’ Megan Fox. Jimmy was so impressed that he proposed to Jessica Vestal a few days later, rejecting her.
When the episode released, the internet had the best time laughing about Chelsea’s ‘delusions’ about looking like Megan Fox. Even Jimmy confessed to the cameras that he thought Chelsea lied to him about her looks.
MGK’s wife?
Now, in a new podcast with After Curfew, Chelsea talked in detail about that moment. Chelsea said she called Megan ‘MGK’s wife’ because saying her name out loud made her feel ‘obnoxious’. The host then said that Chelsea looks like Megan and she appreciated the compliment.
Chelsea said that Jimmy told her in the Dominican Republic that she had mentioned on camera that she didn’t look like Megan Fox. “Oh man, people are loving it so much and that’s the main thing is people are loving coming up to me because they say, you look like her. You do. Look, I had a skinny ass kid and a casino when I was in Vegas, come to me, ‘Megan Fox?’ You must be kidding me. And I was just like, hold me back. hold me back!”
Adele, Katy Perry and Megan Fox mixed into one
Chelsea even asked if Jimmy proposed to her because she looked like Megan Fox. “I don’t do that because that was a little later. Like it was a five-hour date. Okay, so we were at this point by the end. I don’t think any important decision would have been taken by him due to this. I am not in his mind. I don’t know. Although I don’t think so. It was never a big deal. Like everyone was doing it. Like everyone. So it was just a silly conversation. So I didn’t think he would sit there and behave the way he did with it.”
She told the host that not just Megan Fox, she gave Jimmy more names of her lookalikes. “I also say Adele. And I also say Katy Perry. I said, I get one person all the time. And then I say I get Adele and Katy Perry too. Put all those girls together. They don’t look alike. He just heard what he wanted to hear and he stuck with it.
Chelsea and Jimmy got engaged but broke it off a few days before the wedding.
