Citroen has rolled out Basalt X in India, a new version of its SUV-Coupe between the price between it. 11.63 lakhs and 12.90 Lakh (East-Dhoreroom, India). You are available in Plus and Max+ Trims, Basalt X brings a mixture of subtle styling tweex and new features, furthering the same mechanical setup.
Located above the regular basalt, Basalt X will compete with the upcoming Tata Curvv, while Hyundai will also offer an alternative to popular compact SUVs such as Hyundai Buyer, Kia Celtos, Maruti Grand Witara and soon launch-launch Maruti Victoris. Five important things are worth knowing here:
1. Familiar size with different touch
The Basalt X holds the signature sloping-rough design of the standard basalt, which is completed with V-shaped LED day-time running lights, projector LED headlamps, raparound tail lamps, body cladding and 16-inch dual-tone soil. Differences are contained in details, enlightened strips on the front grill and special basalt x badging on tailgate. Buyers also get a fresh garnet red paint option to separate it.
2. The cabin gets a double tone treatment
Inside, Citroen has exchange of regular white interior for a black-end-tan cabin theme, giving it a more premium look. The variant also introduces a rear armrest with integrated Kapwaders, while a leather -finish finish on the dashboard combines the feeling of sophistication.
3. More facilities on proposal
The basalt X packs a handful of upgrade on the standard model, including ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, ambient light, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM and push-button start/stop. These additions complement the existing setup, including a 10.25 -inch infotainment display, a 7 -inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging and automated climate control with rear vent with a 10.25 -inch infotainment display with wireless Android auto and Apple CarPlay.
4. Security is a strong suit
On the safety front, SUV-Cup is equipped with six airbags, EBD with ABS, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, isoffix mounts, TPM and a rear camera with parking sensors. A nayanabhiram sunroof is still missing, which some contestants provide in this segment.
5. Turbo-petrol power and gearbox options
Powering the Basalt X is a 1.2-liter of Citroen, a three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, with manual gearbox, tuned to distribute 108 bhp and 190 Nm of torque, and up to 205 Nm with a 6-speed torque-converter automatic. This gives buyers flexibility in choosing between driving participation and convenience.
