New Car Launches: Czech Republic carmaker Skoda has launched the Skoda Kushaq Onyx in India in an automatic avatar. It has been priced at Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This trim has been added in view of the increasing demand of customers for automatic transmission. Its price is Rs 90,000 more than the manual version.
The Onyx edition of the Kushaq SUV was first introduced in 2023 with a manual gearbox only. Now, the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine is coming mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox that is capable of producing 114bhp of power and 178Nm of peak torque.
What are the updates?
Talking about the update, the company has only updated the gearbox, which has the same style statement as the manual model. It has the same LED headlight setup, which is paired with L-shaped DRLs with fog lamps below. The model also has Onyx badging on the B-pillars, which gives it a different style statement than the standard model.

What are the changes in the interior?
Inside, this compact SUV features a leather-wrapped two-spoke multi-function steering wheel with mounted control buttons. Apart from this, the SUV is offered with a premium cabin, which includes automatic climate control, ‘Onyx’ scuff plates and cushions. In terms of entertainment, this SUV gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports all wireless car connect technology. It also supports wireless Android, Apple and Auto CarPlay.
What are the powertrain options?
