September 2025 is one of the busiest months of the year for the launch of new vehicle in India, with both cars and two-wheeler manufacturers bring brand-new offerings to the market. From pure-electric SUVs to performance-centered two-priest vehicles, the upcoming lineup covers a wide range, giving buyers more options in segment and price brackets. The Spotlight will be on the new EVS from Vietnamese EV Maker Winfast and Maruti Suzuki, as well as a new Hyundai buyer-creator from Maruti and two major two-gifts from TV and Harley-Davidson.
The TVS is set to kick the month with the launch of NTORQ 150 after Maruti Suzuki’s E Vitara and Escudo compact SUV on 3 September. Winfast will launch its VF6 and VF7 electric SUV on 6 September, while Harley-Davidson will meet a new 44000000 to a new 44000000 in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp. Vinfast VF6 and VF7:
Vinfast has confirmed that it will launch its VF6 and VF7 pure-electric SUV in India on 6 September, 2025. Both models will be locally assembled in the upcoming factory of the Vietnamese brand in the Roathukudi, Tamil Nadu. While the Vinfast VF6 Hyundai buyer is offering mass-market to take the choice of electric, Vinfast VF7 will be deployed as a more premium offering in the rank of BYD Atto 3 and Mahindra XEV 9E.
The VF6 will come in 2 variants, both will be powered by 59.6 kwh battery pack. The Eco variant forms a torque of 178 bhp and 250 Nm, with a WLTP-certified driving range of up to 399 km. The plus variant offers 204 bhp and 310 Nm high output, and provides a slightly lower range of 381 km.
The big VF7 is equipped with 75.3 kwh battery. In Eco trim, it distributes 204 bhp and 310 Nm with an estimated range of 450 km. The plus version has a dual-motor all-wheel-drain setup, which produces 354 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. Despite its increased performance, this version offers a slightly lower range of 431 km.
Maruti Suzuki and Vitara:
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is now in production, and Indian buyers can expect to see it launched by September 3, 2025. This is the first battery electric SUV of the Indian manufacturer, and it will be built locally in the car manufacturer’s Hansalpur facility in Gujarat. To be deployed as a global product, E Vitara will be introduced globally with two battery packs, a 49 kwh unit and 61.1 kwh unit.
The small pack distributes 142 bhp and 193 Nm of torque with front-wheel drive setup, offering a WLTP-testing range of up to 344 km. The larger unit is available in two configurations: FWD variant makes 171 bhp and 193 Nm of torque with a range of up to 426 km, while the AWD model distributes 181 bhp and 307 Nm of torque with a range of 395 km.
Maruti Suzuki Shield:
Maruti Suzuki is additionally gearing up to launch her upcoming Hyundai buyer-entry on 3 September, and is expected to be called Escudo. Internal, the name of Y17, Maruti Suzuki Escudo is a compact SUV located above the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and below the Grand Vitara.
While accurate details have not yet been revealed, it is likely to be operated by a 1.5-liter K15 motor. Naturally aspirated petrol powerplant is also expected to get CNG options. The engine can be withdrawn, but the output figures should remain unchanged on 100 hp and 88 hp in petrol and CNG Guiz respectively.
Tvs ntorq 150:
The TVS NTorQ 150 will be launched in India on 1 September, which will expand the brand footprint to the 150 CC scooter segment. This sharp lines continue the design language with more clear front-end, and it gets LED lighting around with quad-proctors and a T-shaped DRL.
While technical details remain undeclared, NTorQ 150 is expected to fit close to 12 bhp with 150 cc powerplant. This will slot it in the performance-centric scooter space, make it stand against the choice of Yamaha Erox 155, Aprilia SR 160, and Hero’s Zoom 160.
The upcoming Ntorq 150 is expected to fit with the TVS Smartxonnect system with 14 -inch wheels, a rear disc brake and TFT screen. Connected functions such as navigation and ride mode can come as standard.
New Harley-Davidson X440- Based Motorcycle:
Hero MotoCorp will launch the Harley-Davidson X440-based motorcycle in September 2025, with the news revealed during the latest investor call. Both companies co-develop the X440 for the Indian market, followed by Hero Mavric 440.
Harley brand has a strong recall value in various markets and has a more aspirational value for riders. As such, it appears that the American brand will run sales for both companies in this segment, with the upcoming 440 cc model being introduced under the Harley-Davidson banner.
