According to a media report, dozens of delivery robots have started riding in metro trains throughout the network during the off-Pick hours. They get down at every station and reach the 7-Ilevan station to deliver. This project is the first of its kind project in the world. This is a new step towards trying to spread the use of robots in Shenzen from factory to other parts of urban life. About one meter long, these robots operate through a logistics subsidiary of the sugar property of the Chinese veteran. This is partial ownership in the company Shenzhen Metro. These robots are automatically capable of climbing lifts, penetrating and exiting platforms, climbing trains and transporting goods to 7-allevan stores across the city.
It was told in the news that 41 robots created a stir at the metro stations on the very first day of their work. Because the passengers stood in the queue inside the bogies and gathered around them to take pictures. However, this project is not just a public relations stunt. Its purpose is to solve a long -standing problem in front of retail shops inside Shenzhen’s metro stations.
Robot transportation easy
Lee Yanayana, manager of a 7-Ilevan Stores, who was involved in this project, said that earlier, the delivery staff had to park the car on the ground, take off the goods and then reach the subway stations by hand. Now, it has become very easy and convenient with the arrival of robots. The robot will be used to recreate the goods in more than 100 7-Elavan stores located in Shenzhen’s metro system.
